Qaulirmat is a Youth Leadership Program in Nunavik, Northern Quebec.
The Program is designed, developed, implemented, led and fostered by Inuit to empower Inuit youth, here and now.

Hello/Aii ! My name is Patrick Okituk. I'm from Salluit. I was born in an airplane somewhere between Iqaluit and Montreal, in a medevac plane at 842 km/h. I love fried arctic char, nikkuk, waking up to the sound of birds in the springtime, and going to church. I have 5 older brothers, 2 younger brothers, 5 older sisters, and 1 younger sister. I wish for all to be happy, healthy, and to love each other.

In the Inuktitut language, Qaulirmat | ᖃᐅᓕᕐᒪᑦ translates to "as the sun is rising".
Qaulirmat goes out on the land every week to learn, practice, and share the culture that has sustained this region for so long. Some of the best local hunters make this Program possible.
Hunting, harvesting, and sharing our favourite delicacy is our way to come together.
One of our staples is bannock. Qaulirmat allows us to learn how to prepare and enjoy bannock. Inuluk shares his recipe with us all.
Learning is a process that we learn to master, embrace, and pass on. We never forget to have fun while doing it.
